The Start File

Your honest starting point — all in one place.
This is the one document for your first week. It fills in section by section as you move through the lessons — each lesson tells you which section is yours. By the end of the week it holds your honest starting point: your myths, your readiness, your first map, and your baseline scores. Bring it to your first session. Everything saves automatically in this browser; start, stop, and come back whenever.
You're done when: every section has ink and your five Check-Up scores exist. Complete beats perfect. Minimum viable version: the Check-Up scores and Reflection questions alone — that's a real start, and it's enough for Session 1.
Example shown. Your own work is safe and comes back when you switch this off.
Section A

My Three Myths

Seven beliefs quietly run most job searches. Check the three that have been most active in yours, then write one honest line about how each has shaped your search.

Pick the three that made you wince — not the three that sound smart.
0 of 3 selected
Done looks like: three myths named, three honest lines written. Recognizing a myth doesn't mean you were foolish — it means you were working with incomplete information. Now you have better information.
Section B

Readiness Check

Rate yourself on all three — not where you think you should be, where you actually are. Then write one line about your lowest number.

Mid-range with a reason beats a straight nine.
ImportanceDoes this change matter enough to do the hard work it requires?
1 · Not really10 · It matters enormously
WillingAre you actually committed — or is a part of you not on board yet?
1 · Not yet10 · Fully committed
AbleDo you have the strategy, skills, and tools to execute?
1 · No framework yet10 · Fully equipped
Done looks like: three honest numbers and one true sentence. A low Able score isn't a verdict — it's exactly what the next eight weeks are for.
Section C

Three Circles — First Draft

Your value lives where these three overlap. This is a first pass at a living map you'll refine for nine weeks.

Messy is correct. A half-empty circle isn't a problem — it's the syllabus.

Aim

What do you want and need — income, people, freedom, growth, meaning?

Career Capital

What do you have to offer — skills, experience, strengths, even personality?

Market Demand

Who actually needs what you offer — and would pay for it?

The overlap is your sweet spot. The program's job is to find it: your Aim gets clear next week, your Market next, your Capital after that.

Done looks like: something written in all three circles — even if one of them is a question mark.
Section D

Job Search Snapshot

Your dashboard — what the search actually looks like right now. One of the most frustrating things about a job search is that it's a black hole; this is how we start measuring what's real.

Done looks like: every field has an honest answer — including the uncomfortable ones. "Zero" and "not sure" are real data.
Section E

Career Status Check-Up

Twenty-five statements across five areas. Rate how true each one is of you right now — 1 (not true of me) to 5 (very true of me). Your scores calculate automatically. You'll take this exact assessment again in the final week and put the two side by side.

There are no right answers. Low scores aren't verdicts — they're coordinates.
Pre · Baseline
This is your starting coordinate. The distance between this number and your final-week number is the story of this program — and it starts with an honest number today.

Done looks like: all five domain scores exist. The more honest the scan, the more precisely we can focus your energy for the next nine weeks.
Section F

Processing Questions

Your own words. Don't polish these — write what's true, even if it's messy. These answers become some of the most valuable material in our coaching calls.

Done looks like: real ink on at least the first three. Messy and true beats polished and safe.

You can't chart a course if you don't know where you are. Now you know.
